Happy birthday to Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant! She turns 22 today.

Let’s take a look at some of my favourite style moments from the future Queen of the Belgians.

Cape dresses? She knows how to do it. Elisabeth wore a hot pink Essential Antwerp gown to the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan.

She stood out in bright red for Belgium’s national day in 2022 in this Victoria Beckham dress with fun shoulder cut outs.

For her first solo engagement, she wore a menswear-esque dress from Reiss, along with a Fabienne Delvigne hat to christen a boat.

For national day in 2021, she wore a Natan dress. I loved this look in particular, as I think this is a great show of her future role. Red is part of Belgium’s flag, and who’s in the bright colour here? That’s right, the heir and future queen. Love it.

For her 18th birthday, she wore a fantastic white coat dress with nude heels. This is the kind of elegance I could have only dreamed of when I turned 18!

And finally, pictured here with Princess Amalia of the Netherlands, she wore a Natan gown with matching gloves. It’s the gloves that do it for me, what a way to pull a look together!

I truly believe that as we see Elisabeth more and as she begins to do more engagements, we will see some fantastic fashion. Is it too early to say she’s a royal style icon in the making? I don’t think so.
