Day 2, or I guess 11 depending on how you look at it, is for Queen Silvia of Sweden. Without further ado:

For Victoriadagen, or in other words, to celebrate Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday, Queen Silvia appeared in this bright pink Weill jacket and skirt combo. It’s bright, summery, and very Barbie-esque, so it was an automatic win for me!

Please enjoy this photo as well, of the King enthusiastically leading the crowd in a song, because I loved it and I just had to share.

Queen Silvia attended the premiere of Orfeo ed Euridice at the Salzburg Opera Festival this year alongside the King and Eva O’Neill, the mother of Silvia’s son in law, Christopher O’Neill. Silvia stole the show though, in one my favourite gowns which I believe is from Camilla Thulin.

This gown from Camilla Thulin comes in at number three on the list. Queen Silvia wore it to the Polar Music awards this year in May, and I thought it was one: lovely, and two: it fit the occasion perfectly. The award ceremony is a staple in the Swedish royal family calendar and it’s always a treat to see what the royals pull out for the night. This year Queen Silvia came out on top with this gown.

King Carl XVI Gustaf marked his 50th anniversary on the Swedish throne. There were a few different events to mark the occasion, including a concert the day before the official jubilee day. For this, Queen Silvia wore a Georg & Arend gown, and I thought it was a beautiful, regal look for the night.

The number one spot has to go to Silvia’s Nobel Prize ceremony outfit. This is another Georg & Arend look, and I understand why she goes to them for big occasions; she always looks as much of a queen as she really is. Sometimes, Silvia has a propensity to wear very bright gowns, so I was pleased to see a more subdued but still sparkly and demanding outfit. She’s the Queen of Sweden and it shows here (the giant Nine Prong tiara certainly helps too).

Agree? Disagree? I’d love to know your thoughts!
