The newest Queen on the list has been debuting major sparkle this year and looking awesome while doing it. Here are my top five favourite looks from Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom!

5: April 9th, 2023

For the Easter Sunday service this year, Queen Camilla wore a navy blue embroidered Anna Valentine coat dress. I loved the embroidery and the richness of the colour. Plus, she’s matching with the King! Cute.

4: November 1st, 2023

The King and Queen visited Kenya this year. During the trip, Queen Camilla visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage where she got to meet and feed some baby elephants. She wore some hiking boots and a beautiful Fiona Clare dress. She’s worn it before and it’s a favourite of mine. I really like the small floral print and olive green colour. Mostly though, I was jealous of her for getting to hang out with those little (well, big) guys.

While in France this year, the Queen wore a beautiful dark blue Dior dress, but the real showstopper was the appearance of the King George VI sapphire suite, which was a wedding present to the then Princess Elizabeth from King George VI. It’s not the first time the jewels have been worn by Camilla, and while I think we were all hoping for a tiara at Versailles that night, the addition of family jewels to go along with the dramatic cape dress was wonderful.

Listen, I can’t believe the Burmese ruby tiara is making an appearance on any list of mine. I hate this tiara. I think it’s a tragedy that it was created from the gorgeous Nizam of Hyderabad tiara. I think it’s one of Queen Elizabeth II’s greatest jewel mishaps.

But damn if Camilla doesn’t pull it off here. With the red velvet Fiona Clare gown, that fits her perfectly by the way, and Queen Victoria’s Crown ruby necklace, everything just comes together beautifully. I think what makes the tiara work for me here is that Camilla wears her tiaras wide on her head, and this one looks a lot better widened than how Queen Elizabeth wore it: more tucked in.

1: May 6th, 2023

This was a big, big year for Camilla, and so the number one spot has to go to her coronation gown. This was designed by Bruce Oldfield, a designer she wears regularly, and features gold and silver embroidered floral designs.

And embroidered dogs! The Queen’s two furry friends, Beth and Bluebell, made it on to the dress too. The dress also contains her grandchildren’s names stitched near the hem as well. It’s the most personal and touching coronation gowns I think, ever.
